“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”

-Mahatma Gandhi

Hello and Welcome

I am so glad that you are here!

MY PASSION FOR designing resources that cultivate balance and resilience began with my interest and work in psychology. Research on learning, memory, and cognition gave me an invaluable perspective on human behavior and emotional growth that carried me into the field of special education, where I partnered with some of the most dedicated and resilient professionals I've ever encountered.

Through direct experience, I discovered both the profound fulfillment and very real challenges that come with being an educator. Balancing diverse student needs with mounting responsibilities and limited resources takes a significant toll, and it is one of the reasons we continue to lose special educators faster than we can replace them. But burnout is not exclusive to educators. It affects dedicated professionals across every single industry.

The Missing Piece: Although we strive for excellence in both services and organizational outcomes, we continue to overlook one critical area: equipping professionals with the tools they need to sustain balance and motivation over the long term. Without this support, educators lose their passion or exit the field entirely, while businesses watch talented team members walk away in search of a better work/life balance. We pour significant resources into professional development and corporate training aimed at sharpening outward-facing skills, yet we fail to prioritize the stress-mitigation and relationship-building competencies that underpin career longevity and job satisfaction.
My Belief is that every person deserves tools and strategies that enable them to flourish throughout
their career journey. The research is unequivocal: developing emotional intelligence skills significantly reduces stress-related burnout, enhances job satisfaction, improves staff retention, and cultivates collaborative cultures where leadership remains responsive and connected to staff needs.
My Goal, and the mission of Applied Harmony, is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive and excel in their personal and professional lives.
